A complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission demanding the cancellation of the party registration process of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA).
Yuvraj Paudel Safal has submitted a petition to the Commission today demanding the cancellation of the citizenship submitted to Ravi Lamichhane as a candidate by the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court.
Lamichhane was released from both positions after the Supreme Court revoked his deputy prime minister and MP posts last week for participating in the House of Representatives elections without taking Nepali citizenship.
Lamichhane’s party, which was released from the duties of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister due to the petition of Sindhuli’s Paudel, filed a complaint with the Election Commission saying that it was the party that submitted wrong documents and registered it.
Poudel, who lodged a complaint with the District Police Office yesterday, reached the Election Commission today to investigate the issue of dual passports. The Kathmandu Police did not register the complaint filed yesterday until the full text of the Supreme Court.
