An agreement has been signed between Nepal’s second largest auto group, MAW Group, and Ceres Group, China’s largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing company.
Along with the agreement, these two companies have announced a strategic partnership to bring Ceres’ state-of-the-art electric vehicles to the Nepali market. From the third quarter of 2023, Ceres will launch EV SUVs, EV Sedans and EV Mini EVs in Nepal through MAW’s extensive network of dealerships.
Ceres Group is the first batch of Chinese auto companies to enter the European market. Famous for its popular DFSK and Ceres brands. Ceres Group is China’s first company that independently controls the world’s leading three-electric core technology and is also a domestic leading vehicle manufacturer that fully integrates intelligent network connection systems and engineering manufacturing.
MAW Group President Bishnukumar Agarwal said that they are happy to bring their state-of-the-art EVs to Nepal in collaboration with Ceres Group. Dedicated to providing its customers with the latest and most innovative automotive products, he expressed confidence that the Ceres EV would be a perfect fit for this mission. He said that this partnership will help to strengthen MAW in the Nepali auto market.
Zhao Ligang, Deputy General Manager of Foreign Import and Export Corporation of Ceres Group, said that he is happy to bring Ceres products to Nepal in partnership with MAW Group. He said that Ceres’ quality and efficient EVs will be well received by Nepali consumers and he is ready to advance the use of EVs in Nepal together with MAW.
